• Deploy, configure, and support desktops, printers, and peripherals across classrooms, labs, and administrative offices in a mixed Windows/macOS environment.
• Document, track, and escalate incidents and service requests in TeamDynamix, maintaining clear technical notes to support SLA compliance and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments for small businesses in collaboration with the UNLV Office of Economic Development and Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to identify vulnerabilities and improve security posture.
• Analyze critical assets, including POS systems, routers, and employee devices, to assess potential risks such as weak passwords, outdated software, and network security misconfigurations.
• Prepare and present security assessment reports, outlining findings and actionable steps to improve business cybersecurity practices, emphasizing non-technical explanations for small business owners.

Responsibilities include:

• Installed and configured OpenVas, an open-source vulnerability scanning tool, on a Raspberry Pi running a Windows operating system.
• Successfully connected and deployed the Raspberry Pi in multiple office environments to execute comprehensive vulnerability assessments.
• Executed a range of meticulously configured vulnerability scans on networked systems to identify and evaluate security vulnerabilities.
• Methodically documented and analyzed scan results, researching potential vulnerabilities and formulating effective solutions.
• Generated in-depth vulnerability assessment reports, presenting key findings, security risks, and recommended mitigation strategies to senior management.

This interdisciplinary program, offered by the Lee Business School and the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering, prepares students for both technical and managerial roles in cybersecurity.
